Kerry Christopher serves as the vice president of internal communications at Cardinal Health. Kerry leads a team of communications professionals focused on improving business results through two-way communication. Prior to Cardinal Health, Kerry was director of internal communications for General Motors in Detroit, Michigan. In this position, he helped to change GM’s culture by creating opportunities for leaders to listen and build relationships with employees in simple, informal ways. He worked with Chairman & CEO Mary Barra to create monthly video messages and live townhalls to increase understanding of GM’s vision, values and behaviors. During his career, Kerry was responsible for media relations in Washington, D.C. during GM’s bankruptcy crisis, oversaw PR for Cadillac, led communications for manufacturing, labor relations, HR, and supported multiple senior VPs and CEOs. Additional experiences include director of internal communications for Goodyear Tire & Rubber, product communications for Volkswagen, and communications manager for Hyundai where he was responsible for launching the Korean company’s first U.S. assembly plant in Montgomery, Alabama.
