Consumers’ use of QR Codes is growing in popularity, up 157percent during the first quarter of this year compared to the same time period last year, according to a report by Scanlife, the mobile barcode solution provider. The heaviest usage has occurred while shopping: 57 percent have scanned a QR code for product details while in an electronics store, 36 percent in a department store, 26 percent in grocery stores and 20 percent in office supply stores.
