SHOW NOTES
Ron Kiefel was the 1983 US road, time trial, and team time trial champion and competed at the 1984 Olympics in the road race and team time trial, winning a bronze medal in the time trial. He then turned professional and competed in the professional peloton through 1996. Kiefel rode and finished six consecutive Tours de France (1986-91). He was the first American to win a Grand Tour stage when he won stage 15 of the 1985 Giro dâItalia, riding from LâAquila to Perugia.
Ron has settled a little west of Denver where he coaches cycling and runs Wheat Ridge Cyclery. He is a member of the US Bicycling Hall of Fame.
