Nearly 1,000 Attendees Over Zoom, and Over 600 Views on Facebook and YouTube
LONGMONT, CO (August 10, 2021) – The results are in, and Longmont Startup Week 2021 was a big success!! The event, a collaborative annual gathering for entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, investors, and talent that invigorates and nurtures Longmont’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by leveraging the city’s unique human, social, and physical assets, is now in its eighth year.
LSW21 gives attendees real-world tools and knowledge to launch, expand, and grow their ventures. Events and content throughout the week focused on creators, commerce, capital, and community and highlighted Longmont as an entrepreneurial ecosystem for civic innovation.
LSW21 was one of the most successful in its history. Avocet Communications managed the entire five-day event, taking hybrid approach. Over the course of the five-day event there were:
- 35 sessions streamed live on Facebook, YouTube, and Zoom
- 61 speakers
- 987 attendees over Zoom
- 484 watched sessions on Facebook
- 191 views on YouTube
“How we approached LSW in 2021 was a bit different,” explained Lori Jones, president and CEO of Avocet Communications. “After COVID, Longmont’s business community was ready to be inspired and to return to the New Normal. LSW was entirely virtual in 2020 due to the pandemic, but for 2021 we wanted to bring back the event’s sparkle and energy while maintaining safety and comfort levels for all.”
For decades the agency has been conceptualizing and orchestrating the end-to-end management of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events; from trade shows to conferences to week-long networking gatherings to galas and fundraisers. No matter the event, the goals are the same: to support brands and their campaigns across B2B and B2B audiences.
Avocet fully orchestrating the five-day LSW event involved speaker coordination, sponsorship outreach, all event planning and logistics for virtual and in-person events, all marketing, public relations and media outreach, and more. Avocet also spearheaded an entire brand refresh of the event, including a new logo and a new look and feel for the website.
Longmont Startup Week is supported by several local partners including High Plains Bank, EforAll, Avocet Communications, Docketly, Ward Electric, and Sticker Giant, as well as Innovate Longmont, the Longmont Downtown Development Authority and the Longmont Economic Development Partnership.
