LONGMONT, CO (September 1, 2021) – It was announced today that Lori Jones, president and CEO of Avocet Communications, will be inducted into the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame.
Honorees are individuals who have been instrumental, through business-related efforts, in providing direction, energy, and support to the shaping of Boulder County since its inception. Candidates are nominated by their peers, family members, and associates.
Jones said: “My father founded Avocet in 1980 and I joined him in 1989. I was blessed to have learned from him every day and one of the greatest joys of my career is having helped to create this agency by his side. Avocet was founded and continues to be grounded in our desire to help businesses in Boulder County – and all over the U.S. – strategically ignite their growth and position their brands for success.

Other honorees included Cotton Burden of Burden Inc.; Todd Dutkin of Fresca Foods; Scott Green of Google Boulder; Carol Riggs of Sturtz and Copeland; Ron Secrist, former president, Boulder Community Health Foundation, Boulder; and Allen Ginsborg, NewMark Merrill Mountain States (posthumous).

About The Boulder County Business Hall of Fame: The Boulder County Business Hall of Fame is a private, nonprofit 501C3 dedicated to the encouragement of business excellence in Boulder County by recognizing and inducting Boulder County business leaders into the prestigious Hall of Fame.
