Elevating the Nonprofit’s Mission to Support Colorado’s Homeless and Food Insecure with Strategic Marketing Initiatives
LONGMONT, CO (September 1, 2023) – Avocet Communications, a Longmont, CO-based and nationally recognized strategic communications firm known for its bold marketing strategies, announced today that, after a six-month project that spanned the latter half of 2023, has been named the agency of record representing Volunteers of America Colorado and its marketing needs.
VOA Colorado, through its hunger services, housing and shelter services, behavioral healthcare, and veterans’ outreach programs, seeks to identify and serve the basic needs of the most vulnerable individuals and families in communities throughout the state. More than 150,000 people in Colorado are supported by VOA Colorado’s over 50 programs and service offerings every year, including Meals on Wheels and the City Harvest Food Bank.
With a shared commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of Coloradans, the partnership between VOA Colorado and Avocet is poised to elevate the nonprofit’s mission and take its outreach efforts to new heights.
“We are honored to be working with Volunteers of America Colorado, an organization that shares many of our values,” said Lori Jones, president and CEO of Avocet. “We share a deep dedication to creating positive change in our community, especially for people suffering food insecurity and homelessness, our displaced veterans, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“We are excited to leverage our expertise in creating marketing campaigns that influence and motivate community involvement and that will help VOA Colorado further its mission and reach even more individuals in need,” she added.
Avocet will bring its expertise in digital and social strategies, crisis communications, PR and media relations, and creative development to collaborate with VOA Colorado on developing strategic marketing and communication initiatives designed to raise awareness, increase donor support, and expand the nonprofit’s impact across the state.
Faustine Curry, vice president of advancement and marketing for VOA Colorado, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We believe that Lori and her team are the ideal partners to help us amplify our message, engage the community, and secure the resources necessary to continue our vital work.
