DENVER (February 8, 2017) – Avocet Communications, one of the nation’s leading integrated marketing communications agencies, celebrated the airing of its 50th podcast, Integrate & Ignite, this week.
The twice-weekly program, launched just six months ago, is hosted by Avocet CEO and president, Lori Jones. Jones is one of the region’s and the industry’s leading voices in marketing strategies and innovations. The 50th episode features Lloyd Lewis, CEO and president of Arc Thrift Stores, in an encore interview. An eBook, entitled, “Integrate & Ignite: Leadership Defined,” and based on lessons learned from the podcast, is also being issued this month to coincide with the 50th episode.
“Businesses today are having to up their game to be heard in a very noisy and competitive marketplace,” Jones explained. “It’s all about on-demand content. Twenty percent of American listen to podcasts on a regular basis. That number is growing steadily and they are consumers.”

- 61 percent of listeners report having purchased something that they heard about on a podcast.
- Podcast listeners are 19 percent are more likely to follow brands on social networks.
“Consumers today demand authenticity and transparency. The human voice is powerful and can help break through the digital and online clutter in a much more intimate and authentic manner,” Jones added.
Podcasts are also a marketing strategy Avocet deploys for its clients. The agency is currently poised to launch two podcasts for clients in Q1 of 2017.
The 50 Integrate & Ignite podcasts have featured CEOs, entrepreneurs, and business leaders from a broad array of industries, including high-tech start-ups, nonprofits, organic food companies, financial planning agencies, social enterprises, managed IT services, and craft beer. Guests have included:
