Providing the right content at the right time in the right place is a critical component of a sound marketing strategy. Curating and publishing content that is useful to your target customers is not a quick and easy process but it is definitely worth the time and effort. Remember the three C’s when creating your content plan – Care, Congregate, Convert.
1. What do my customers care about? Give the people what they want and they will want to hear from you.
2. Where do my customers congregate online? Location, location location….do they spend time reading blogs, engaging with social media, downloading white papers or interacting with forums?
3. What is the conversion path? Will the call to action be a Request for Information, Buy Now, Sign Up for Email or Attend a Webinar?
And don’t forget about digital optimization – make sure to include relevant keywords, tags, links etc. Search engines love good content too!
